By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the App.

Analytics and Product Improvement
We may use PostHog or similar product analytics tools to understand how users interact with the App, improve features, diagnose issues, measure performance, and make the App experience better. This may include events such as screens viewed, features used, buttons tapped, recommendation flows completed, subscription status or entitlement events, device and app version information, approximate region or language settings, and diagnostic information.
We do not use product analytics to collect the content of private messages, payment card details, government identification numbers, or precise sensitive personal information. Where technically feasible, we use privacy controls such as limiting event properties, avoiding unnecessary personal data, and configuring analytics to reduce the collection of sensitive information.
AI-Powered Recommendations
Nuance uses automated processing, including AI technologies, to generate perfume recommendations based on the preferences and profile information you provide. This may include processing your favorite perfumes, notes, accords, moods, occasions, seasons, style preferences, and related app activity to suggest fragrances that may match your taste.
Recommendations are generated for discovery purposes only. They are not professional advice, medical guidance, or guarantees that a fragrance will suit you in every circumstance.
The App is not intended to collect sensitive personal information. Please do not provide information such as government identification numbers, financial account details, precise health information, biometric data, or other categories of sensitive personal data through the App.

Tracking and Advertising Choices
On iOS, Nuance may request permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before accessing the IDFA or tracking your activity across apps and websites owned by other companies for advertising measurement or personalization.
You can allow or deny this permission. If you deny tracking, Nuance will not access the IDFA for tracking. You can change your choice later in iOS Settings. You may still see ads for Nuance, but those ads may be less personalized and advertising measurement may be limited.
Even when tracking permission is denied, Nuance and third-party SDKs such as Meta, Google/Firebase, and TikTok may still collect or share limited technical or event data for analytics, security, attribution, or measurement as permitted by platform rules, our configuration, and applicable law.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with service providers and advertising or measurement partners, including Meta, Google/Firebase, and TikTok, only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, such as operating the App, providing analytics, measuring advertising performance, attributing installs and app events, preventing fraud, and maintaining security.
Subscription payments are processed by Apple App Store, Google Play, or RevenueCat where applicable. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition, subject to applicable law.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the reason it was collected. When information is no longer needed, we will delete it or anonymize it in accordance with applicable law and our internal retention practices.
Account and Data Deletion
Users can request account and data deletion by emailing support@trynuance.app from the email address associated with their Nuance account, with the subject line “Nuance Account Deletion Request”. You may also use in-app account deletion features if available in your version of the App. If the App version you use supports account creation, you may also be able to initiate account deletion from within the App where required by platform rules or applicable law.
After receiving a valid deletion request, we will take reasonable steps to delete your personal information, subject to exceptions required or permitted by law, such as records we must retain for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than the country where you live, including countries that may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction. This may include processing by advertising and measurement partners such as Meta, Google/Firebase, and TikTok in accordance with their respective privacy policies and applicable law.
Where required by applicable law, we implement appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
